Please read the policies carefully for our New Jersey Inn.
OUR RATESOur rates are the same for single or double occupancy and vary by day of the week and length of the stay. Weekend rates apply to Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Holiday day, and evening prior. Please inquire as to availability and room rate if you are unsure. A major credit card is required to secure your stay with us - you may pay with an alternate method at checkout. We accept cash and most major credit cards. A 7% NJ Sales Tax plus 7% NJ Occupancy Tax is added to all room charges.
WEEKEND + HOLIDAY MINIMUM STAYSDuring the months of May, June, September & October (which is our peak wedding season), we do not accept advance reservations for weekend days, any more than one month ahead. Minimum stay requirements vary based on time of year, but a one night stay is occasionally available. Please call and ask if a one-night stay is possible for the weekend date you want.
YOUR DEPOSITFor a single night stay, the full amount of your stay with us will be charged at time of reservation. For a multiple night stay, a deposit equal to half of your total stay will be charged. Any additional add-ons or in-room indulgences requested at the time of reservation or prior to arrival, will be charged at that time and are not refundable. All telephone and e-mail reservations are guaranteed with stated deposit on a major credit card. Once deposit is recieved via credit card, an e-mail will be sent to you and any balance remaining will be due upon arrival.
CANCELLATIONSBecause of our size, cancellations affect us significantly and are subject to a $20.00 handling fee. Cancellations must be made by phone at 908-782-4928, otherwise they are not valid. Email can get lost in cyber-space and unless you have spoken to us in person there is no guarantee that we'll know about your change of plans. If you must cancel your reservation, a minimum of fourteen days notice is required for a refund of your deposit. For less than fourteen days notice, we will issue you a voucher for the deposit that was charged, only if the room can be rebooked. This certificate will be valid for 60 days from the reservation date. Regarding no-shows, if a guest does not arrive and honor their reservation, or contact us to cancel, they will be charged for the full amount of the stay on the credit card they applied to the reservation. No refunds or vouchers are issued for no-shows.
FULL INN RESERVATIONSAll full-inn group reservations must be for two or more consecutive nights and must be paid for in-full upon reservation. Guarantee of the entire inn being booked by your group is contingent upon all of your group paying for their room at the reservation time. We allow a 2-week grace period for full payment by your group if they choose to pay individually or one person may make full inn payment. Dates cannot be guaranteed or held without the entire reservation paid in full. Wedding bookings and full inn reservation deposits are not refundable.
YOUR CHECK IN - CHECK OUTOur check in time is from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Occasionally an early check-in is possible with advance notice. If you plan to arrive after 8:00 pm, please let us know in advance so we can arrange to greet you. Our check out time is by 11:00 am.
GIFT CARDS + CERTIFICATESWe no longer accept gift cards from BedandBreakfast.com or participate in the I Love Inns 'BOGO' promotion. Regarding our acceptance of inn directory specials, inn-catalogs and general bed & breakfast related promotions, we reserve the right to not participate as some offers are posted without our consent. Please inquire as to our acceptance and participation prior to reservation. We will not honor any expired offers and will honor only one gift certificate per stay. We cannot refund any gift certificate once your reservation is made and if you must cancel your reservation using a Main Street Manor Gift Certificate, fourteen days notice is required. We do not allow refunds on stays booked using a gift certificate, but we will issue a voucher for the same amount to be used for a future stay at the inn within 60 days if you must cancel your reservation. No refunds are issued for no-shows.
CHILDRENOur Victorian Bed and Breakfast is not appropriate for young children as many of our guests are looking for a quiet, adult-time getaway. We welcome well-behaved children over the age of twelve.
PETSAnimal lovers are welcome, but we cannot accept pets. Quincy is happy to indulge you in a love-fest if you are missing your furry friend!
SAFETYFor the consideration and safety of all of our guests we do not permit smoking, the use of candles or any open-flame item such as incense in any of the guest rooms or on the English Rose Room's private porch.
SMOKINGWe are a completely non-smoking inn and home. Smoking is allowed outdoors only on the front veranda by the side-stair entrance near the ash bucket or in our outdoor garden area. Please be courteous to others and smoke away from open windows and please do not litter cigarette butts on the property. If evidence of smoking is found in your room, a cleaning charge of $500 will billed to your credit card.
OUR BREAKFASTWe serve a fixed 2 course full and hot farm-to-table breakfast every morning at 9:00 a.m. We can accommodate most special diets with advance notice. For our business travelers on Monday - Thursday, we can prepare breakfast as early as 7 a.m; please let us know upon check-in what time you require. We are happy to allow friends of a guest to join in at breakfast for an additional charge, but only with advance notice and prior reservation. Please inquire regarding cost.
OUR HOME & INNThis is our home as well as our inn and our business and we reserve the right to refuse entrance or service to anyone. We are not responsible for accidents or injury, damages to personal property or vehicles or for the loss of money or valuables of any kind left behind in your room.
FORGOTTEN ITEMSForgotten items left behind at the inn can be sent to you via mail at your request. The cost of shipping, plus a $10 handling and packaging fee, will be charged. In addition, we ask that you accept or deny insurance of the forgotten item in writing.
