Sunday, January 24th, from 2:30-4:30 as Main Street Manor Bed & Breakfast welcomes mixed-media & award-winning local collage artist Nancy Shill with a Wine & Cheese Reception for her art opening and one-woman show here at the Inn. 

Nancy's fine art work was recently selected for the 80th Annual Phillips’ Mill Art Exhibition and is presently displayed at the Mill along with that of other local artists.  She has studied with Roy Lichtenstein at Douglass College in 1962 and admires and is inspired by Klee, Miro, Picasso, Hoffman, DeKooning, Kandinsky, Schwitters and Matisse.  She has also studied at the Newark School of Fine I Industrial Arts and at Montclair University. She has taught at the Michener Museum, New Hope PA, in the University of the Arts and at various other venues. This wine & cheese reception is open to the public and will allow visitors to meet the Artist and preview her work that will be on display at the Inn through February.

Creativity Journey & Art Workshop Weekend, February 19 & 20, 2010!
Do your Art in a peaceful, relaxing enviornment!  Join us along with mixed-media, award-winning local collage artist Nancy Shill for this special creativity workshop.    
Nancy discovers uniqueness in cast-off paper and other articles in her mixed media expressions.  

The Inn's Art Weekend will begin with a talk given by Nancy on Friday February 19, from 7pm-8pm.  The Collage Workshop will take place on Saturday beginning at 10am and lunch at the Inn is included in Workshop cost.  The workshop is expected to end at about 4pm. After the workshop afternoon tea will be served as students admire their creations.
Attendees are asked to bring materials of interest that they have collected of different textures & colors that have some sort of meaning to them. All other workshop materials will be provided by Nancy.  
 
Workshops here at the Inn are very small, friendly and relaxed (no more that 10 students).  Nancy is a gentle & encouraging teacher.  You will be amazed at how inspired & motivated you feel when going home after a weekend of tapping into your creativity!
Art Workshop cost for Guests of the Inn...$50.00 per person;
Art Workshop cost fon non-staying Guests...$65.00 per person, payable to Nancy upon reservation. 

Be sure to mention Nancy's workshop when inquiring to receive special lodging rates for workshop participants. Single and double occupancy rates are available and all Inn amenities are a part of your stay.

***A little about Terry…Terry Seaman IET (Integrated Energy Therapist) Terry offers Sacred Healing Massage, while incorporating aromatherapy and essential oils in each of her sessions. Her intuitive gifts and beautiful senses enhance all workings with her clients. Releasing the "issues in our tissues" is her focus. Terry is also a highly trained yoga instructor and will be giving early morning yoga Saturday morning.

9:15-10am...Enjoy a casual, healthy buffet breakfast (included in cost of weekend)

10am-12pm...Informative & inspirational talk given by Certified Holistic Health Counselor, Lori Saporito.  Lori’s class will focus on the impact of the food choices we make in life as well as the other things that feed us…our jobs, relationships, exercise, etc.  Lori will help us to understand that each of these things in life has an energy and influence.  Most importantly, Lori will challenge us all to bring awareness to all facets of our lives and our choices. - (Class included in cost of weekend)
***A little about Lori... “My primary career path has been as a dental hygienist, however, ever since I can remember I've been interested in nutrition and healthy lifestyle practices. My formal education includes an A.S. degree in Dental Hygiene, BS in Health Administration, an Ed.M. in Health Education and a certificate as a Health Counselor from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition in collaboration with Columbia Teachers College. 10am-12pm...Terry Overton speaks about the Seven Chakras or energy centers of the body and how they relate to our life experiences, the energy we attract or repel and our overall well-being.  We will learn how the chakra system provides an essential key to transformation, a way that both personally and collectively we can experience the infinite possibilities of limitless light, love, energy and life.

***A little about Terry... Terry Overton holds an A.A.S. Degree in Business Administration and a B.B.A. degree in Business Administration/Marketing. Her previous career spanned 20 years in Higher Education Administration. However, Terry had an unfulfilled desire to make a profound difference in the lives of others. She turned to the study of Feng Shui, Dowsing, and Energy Clearing. Thus, these Ancient Inspirations gave her the foundation for her new journey. She is dedicated to assisting and educating individuals and businesses through her Feng Shui consultations, Energy Clearing sessions, workshops and seminars. Regarding Terry’s training she is a graduate of Nancy SantoPietro's Accelerated Path Feng Shui and Chakra Energy System Consultant Training Program. She has studied with eminent Feng Shui teachers such as H.H. Grandmaster Thomas Lin Yun Rinpoche, Denise Linn, RD Chin, Katherine Metz and others in the practice of Black Sect Tantric Buddhist (BTB) Feng Shui. She has studied Dowsing, Personal Energy Clearing and Space Clearing through Eric Dowsett, an internationally renowned author and pioneer in the field of energy work. She has also completed Reiki Level I.

1:00-2:30pm...Aromatherapy Creativity- Hands-On … Jocelyn Corkhill will conduct a hands-on workshop and guide attendees to create a signature blend of essential oils, base product and container for take home use. The background and history of aromatherapy, safety and quality of essential oils and how to create the "notes" of a natural perfume will be discussed.
**Class is included in the cost of weekend for all attendees.
A Little about Jocelyn: Jocelyn Pointon Corkhill is a Clinical Aromatherapist, Reiki Master, Esthetician, Holistic Beauty Therapist who trained in England with world renowned aromatherapists Eve Taylor and Michael Scholes. Jocelyn has 30 years experience in Holistic Beauty Therapy modalities that she blends together in her Reiki facials that she performs at Refine Day Spa in Pittstown, NJ.  She has created synergistic blends for individual clients as well as companies who are looking for a natural alternative to fragrances and perfumed products.

3:00pm-on …Farewell Afternoon Tea…& goodie bag distribution filled with recipes, special tokens & momentos from the weekend.

**Pricing Info & About reserving your time here for the Spring Weekend of Renewal Retreat:

We can accommodate a maximum of 10 overnight guests with single and double occupancy rates available.  All guest rooms have queen sized beds and private baths and the rate includes all open sessions along with breakfast & lunch both days.  Single occupancy rate is $389 for the entire weekend ; the double rate is $314.50 per person, double occupancy (2 people in 1 room, total $629.00) for the entire weekend of events. Those wishing to attend the Women's Renewal Weekend and not stay over at the Inn may do so at the cost of $65.00 per day and you must state the day you will be attending (or both) at time of reservation. Cutoff date for all reservations is Friday, February 26, 2010.  A pre-paid 50% deposit is required to reserve your weekend stay; full payment is required if you are attending the retreat and not staying over.  Sorry, there are no refunds on cancellations but we will refund your deposit if we should have a snowstorm and have to cancel.  Please call Donna the Inn with questions and/or to reserve at     908-782-4928.

Add-on sessions such as massage & energy work, nutritional counseling and the cooking class are available and must be pre-booked.  Fees for those sessions must be paid directly to each facilitator.  Reservations for these add-on sessions must be booked through the Inn.
