Duke Farms - Duke Farms, located on 2,740 acres is one of the largest privately-owned parcels of undeveloped land in New Jersey and is just 20 minutes from the inn. Duke Farms is rich in ecological, horticultural and agricultural resources. Carousel Lavender Farm - Open every Saturday beginning April 12 ~ Beginning June 18 through July 23, during peak blooming season, they offer OPEN TOURS every Wednesday at 10am and 2pm, no reservations required...The fee for the tour is $10 per person, and the full property tour lasts about one hour. See the amazing outbuildings, lavender fields, the restored carriage house and the owner's private garden! Treat yourself...this is a "MUST DO" and just 15 minutes from the inn!
Peony's Envy - Open May 1 to June 15, 11am - 5pm everyday; Admission $5 per person. The display gardens are laid out over an 8-acre property with trails that meander throughout the peony collections. Four major types of peonies are highlighted in the garden: woodland, tree, herbaceous, and intersectional. Over 500 different cultivars planted in the garden, each of which will bloom for a period of 7-10 days over a six week bloom period that begins in late April and ends in early June. Garden Tour du Jour of Six Private Bucks County Gardens - Saturday, June 7th; Gardens are open 10 o'clock a.m. to 4 p.m. rain or shine. - This 21st annual one day, self-guided event will turn garden enthusiasts green with ideas, so be sure to bring your camera . The diversity of gardens on this year's tour is truly amazing and will take you from New Hope to Center Bridge to Point Pleasant Pennsylvania. The tour will be followed with a presentation at 4:15 sharp by Landscape Architect, Buck Walter, at Walter's Nursery in Point Pleasant, discussing plants that work well in this area and their place in garden design history. Live plants will be on display and available for purchase.
Annual Hidden Gardens of Lambertville Tour - Saturday, June 14, 2014. The Kalmia Club is one of the oldest continuously running women's clubs in the state of New Jersey. This Tour is always so well done...don't miss this for creative inspiration for your own garden!
Linden Hill Gardens - A retail nursery and destination garden hosting Garden related lectures & workshops all year round! Nearby Ottsville, Pa.
Hortulus Farm - Open from May-October - A one hundred acre, 18th Century farmstead and nursery operation located in Wrightstown boasting spectacular period gardens and a museum. Created by garden and event designer Renny Reynolds and garden writer Jack Staub. www.hortulusfarm.com
Bucks Beautiful Kitchen & Garden Tour - Fall Gardens on Sunday September 28, 2014. The tour offers a delightful afternoon, discovering the hidden jewels tucked away on the streets of Doylestown and it's neighboring communities. PLAN AHEAD for this, it is often a sellout!
Tinicum Park Polo: Beginning May 17; polo matches 2:00pm-4:00pm. $10.00 per car...pack some wine, a picnic lunch and head to Tinicum Park in nearby Erwinna, Pa. An afternoon of fun & entertainment for sure!
Bucks County Covered Bridge Tour - This tour of Bucks County's 12 remaining covered bridges starts at the Memorial Building in Washington Crossing Historic Park on the Delaware River. The Tour makes a large circle through Bucks County and is planned so the traveler can start at any one of the bridges. Visit www.buckscountycbs.org for directions and GPS coordinates.
Unionville Vineyards Spring Wine Festival - Wine tasting, winery tours, and vineyard walks with the winemaking team,
Old York Cellars - 'Wine & Music Under The Stars' - Beginning in May, Old York Cellars' hosts live music on the vineyard every Friday evening. An eclectic lineup of musicians offers something for everyone, ranging in style from Folk and Rock to Jazz and Blues. Guests are welcome to bring their own food to enjoy with Old York's award winning wines while relaxing at reserved tables. Fridays, 6-9pm -$5 advance, $7.50 at the door. (During inclement weather, the event is moved indoors to the fire-lit Vista Room)

Hunterdon County is celebrating its 300th Anniversary this year...and the HCT Committee has an unbelievable array of celebratory events, tours, festivals and historical reenactments planned!
Stay tuned for info on Flemington's Historic House Tour slated for Saturday, October 25, 2014. Private homes as well as several public buildings, a church and Flemington's only Bed & Breakfast Inn will be part of the Tour.
