Flemington's Classic Car Shows are back for the summer on Main Street in Flemington, New Jersey beginning on Saturday, May 31, 2015 and will continue all summer long into early fall. Shows are held every other Saturday from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. along Historic Main Street. For the first Car Show on May 31, the featured car will be Fords...and the best Ford car will get a trophy and a prize. There's always live music and/or DJ’s for these shows plus the car show is free for car owners and spectators. For some out-door Farm-Fun, visit Bobolink Dairy for music on the lawn along with great food from the farm! BYOB or grab a growler from the nearby Ship Inn and head on over. Cost is $20 in advance + kids under 10 are free! They'll be grilling Bobolink Burgers, KimCheeSteaks, and other treats from the farm and the farms of friends. The Peony's Envy DISPLAY GARDEN is open May 1 - June 15 from 11-5pm every day! Admission is $5 per person. The Nursery & Display Garden is located at 34 Autumn Hill Drive in Bernardsville, New Jersey within easy access of Flemington. The display gardens are laid out over an 8-acre property with trails that meander throughout the peony collections. Four major types of peonies are highlighted in the garden: woodland, tree, herbaceous, and intersectional. Over 700 different cultivars planted in the garden, each of which will bloom for a period of 7-10 days over a six week bloom period that typically begins in late April and ends in early June. When planning your visit it is important to consider what is in bloom at the time you wish to come. The bloom sequence is: woodland/species/suffructosa tree/gansu tree/herbaceous/intersectional. Typically the peak tree peony bloom is at the very beginning of May & the peak herbaceous peony bloom (the big show-stopper) is in late May into Early June. Visit the website for lots of peony info!

Inn town: Free Flemington Concert for Flag Day - Friday June 12th from 5:30-9:30pm in front of the historic Hunterdon County Courthouse on its grande portico! Grab a chair, some munchies and enjoy this tribute to our flag with music by the Whitehouse Wind Symphony. In case of rain, the concert will take place inside the building.
